The founding group of retailers, known as The Green Group, invested their own capital to establish the business, creating a unique cooperative model where each new retailer becomes a stakeholder by purchasing a ‘share’ of the business.

Through years of experience, the group discovered a fundamental truth in the flooring industry: the key to securing the most competitive prices from suppliers lay in bulk purchasing, particularly when it came to rolls of carpet.

This insight led to a significant milestone in 2000, when the group, now operating as Greendale Carpets & Floorings, made the strategic decision to invest in a purpose-built warehouse and office facility.
